Aravind Natarajan, of the DeLisa Group, was elected to the Bouchet Honor Society

This is a highly competitive honor, awarded to only five graduate students at Cornell. CBE Best Paper Award recipient: Joseph Brown, Alabi Group

Joseph Brown’s paper, Antibacterial isoamphipathic oligomers highlight the importance of multimeric lipid aggregation for antibacterial potency, was selected as Best Paper of the Year. Joey, of the Alabi group and in collaboration with the Daniel group, will present a 10 minute synopsis of this paper at the symposium next week. Congratulations to Joey and his co-authors (Zeinab Mohammed, Christine M. Artim, Dana N. Thornlow, Joseph F. Hassler, Vincent P. Rigoglioso, Susan Daniel, and Christopher A. Fengqi You receives Cornell Engineering Research Excellence Award, 2018

Professor Fengqi You, the Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, received a Research Excellence Award at this year’s Engineering Faculty Meeting/Holiday Reception on Tuesday, December 4th. The award recognizes Professor You's leadership in innovative research. He was acknowledged by Lance Collins, the Joseph Silbert Dean of Engineering, and Abe Stroock, William C. Hooey Director in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Read more

Jeff Tester

Jeff Tester elected to the 2019-2020 GRC Board of Directors

Professor Jeff Tester has been elected to the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) Board of Directors by a vote of the membership, including peers and colleagues in the geothermal community. Tester will spend the next two years involved in a busy program of events and activities that aim to increase awareness of geothermal energy across society, in the USA and abroad. The next GRC Board Meeting will be held on Sunday February 10th, 2019, at Stanford University, ahead of the 44th Annual Geothermal Workshop. Read more
