Professor Roseanna Zia was awarded an Office of Naval Research Director of Research Early Career Grant (DORECG) — one of only 5 awarded annually.
The DORECG was recently established to recognize the very best of our ONR Young Investigator Program (YIP) recipients. On an annual basis, the ONR sponsors 1600 single investigator grants. Zia was one of the small number of the very competitive 2014 YIP award recipients, of which approximately 30 per year are awarded. Of these, 5 per year are selected for the Director of Research ECG. The Director of Research noted in the award that, “This is a tremendous accomplishment, and is indicative of the quality and impact of your research.”
