Graduate Student Experience

The graduate student community at the Smith School is a thriving, dedicated group of scholars. Students are actively involved in several aspects of the program from leading extracurricular organizations to creating opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaborations and initiatives.

Students in the M.Eng., M.S., and Ph.D. programs are dedicated learners and researchers—but they’re also leaders who are working to make the student experience better and more engaging each day, which means it will only continue to improve as new classes enter CBE.

Whether they are participating in student organizations, attending or organizing the annual Graduate Research Symposium and banquet, or serving the community near and far, our students are making an impact, improving their communication skills, and encouraging diverse perspectives and scholarship.
