WOMEN Outreach Event

Last month, for the first time since the pandemic, the Smith School was thrilled to be able to host an in-person WOMEN (Women's Outreach in Materials, Energy, and Nanobiotechnology) event!

The WOMEN outreach program provides a unique and exciting opportunity for 10th grade girls to learn about science and engineering careers. Attendees conducted interactive laboratory experiments at Olin Hall. Participating in these modules teaches students about key aspects of chemical engineering. In an exciting day filled with hands-on activities, they learned about technology careers, the college application process, and themselves. There was also a program available for parents/guardians to learn about financial aid and college admissions.
