The Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) announces that Professor Fengqi You in Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University is the recipient of the prestigious 2022 Stratis V. Sotirchos Lectureship Award.
One awardee is selected every two years by a committee of internationally renowned scientists on the grounds of candidates’ original and fundamentally important results in chemical engineering sciences. The selection of the most deserving candidate is made on an international basis and strictly on merit. This award honors the memory of Professor Stratis V. Sotirchos, who is a distinguished researcher and FORTH/ICE-HT Research Director. Professor You was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE Fellow) to recognize his significant professional accomplishments and contributions in engineering. He was honored with 2022 George Lappin Award from AIChE earlier this week. Over the past five years, he has won 17 national/international awards from the AIChE, American Chemical Society (ACS), American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and American Automatic Control Council (AACC), in addition to multiple best paper awards.
