Ashley Macner is the recipient of the 2013 Tom K. Scott award
Ashley Macner of the Steen Research Group is the recipient of the 2013 Tom K. Scott award, ASGSR’s highest student award, for her work in the area of dropwise condensation.
“The award is made annually to a student attending the ASGSR meeting with excellent academic and/or professional achievements, and an outstanding potential for success in, and interest in the field of gravitational and space research. This award both recognizes students for their past accomplishments as well as encourages further excellence in the field.” Tom Scott Award
Also, her poster titled “Dropwise Condensation on a Radial Gradient” was awarded 1st Place in the Fluids Category Poster Competition at the 29th annual meeting of the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR).
