Fengqi You wins 2018 Computing and Systems Technology Outstanding Young Researcher Award from AIChE

This award is presented by AIChE to honor an individual with outstanding contributions to the computing and systems technologies (CAST) under the age of 40.

Fengqi You, Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor in the Smith School, was selected to receive the 2018 CAST Outstanding Young Researcher Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). AIChE is the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 50,000 members from over 100 countries.

This award is presented by AIChE to honor an individual with outstanding contributions to the computing and systems technologies (CAST) under the age of 40. Prof. You was recognized for “contributions to fundamental theory and applications of supply chain optimization, sustainability analytics, energy systems engineering, integrated process operations, and data-driven decision-making.”

This award, sponsored by Air Products, consists of $3,000 and an award plaque. Prof. You will receive the award in the CAST Award Banquet as part of the upcoming AIChE Annual Meeting to be held in October 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA.
