Cornell ChemE Car Team places 3rd in Regional Competition

The competition car was powered by a zinc alkaline battery and stopped by an iodine clock reaction. The 2019 competition took place at University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the distance needed to reach as closely as possible was 15.5 meters. Cornell's ChemE car stopped .95 meters short of the line and finished in third place, qualifying the team for Nationals. The National competition will take place in Orlando, FL at the AIChE Student Conference in November. 

Participating members of ChemE car were: Judson Freidl, Jonothan Ong-Siong, Brayan Pena, Sophia Oguri, Isabella Romano, Kathy Chen, Kevin Klaben, Matthew Simon, Julia Radzio, Alexander Wurm, and Jordan Fuller.
