2020-21 Fleming Scholars

With a generous gift from Nancy and Sam Fleming ‘62 to support graduate student research in the biomolecular program, the department selects students each year to be named "Fleming Scholars." Through a competitive process, the fellowships are awarded to outstanding Ph.D. students pursuing research in biomolecular engineering and who have distinguished themselves as promising scholars in their particular field. Prof. Fengqi You, the the Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, received the I&EC Research Excellence in Review Award again in 2020 - it is the 5th consecutive year Prof. You has received this award. Paul H. Steen, CBE Professor, passes away unexpectedly

Paul H. Steen, the Maxwell M. Upson Professor of Engineering, joined the School of Chemical Engineering at Cornell as an assistant professor in 1982, after completing a Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins and post-doctoral training at Stanford. He holds undergraduate degrees in Engineering and English Literature from Brown University.
