Lin Ma, of the Archer Group, wins MRS Graduate Student Gold Award
Lin Ma received a Materials Research Society (MRS) Graduate Student Gold Award at the 2016 MRS Meeting, held November 27 – December 2 in Boston, Massachusetts.
After an initial selection as finalist for a GSA, Lin was awarded a Gold Award based on the evaluation of her oral presentation in the Finalists’ Special Talk Session at the Fall 2016 MRS meeting in Boston. Her award-winning oral presentation is entitled ‘Molecular Engineering of High-Performance Lithium Sulfur Batteries’, which focused on her contribution to solving the polysulfide dissolution and shuttling issues by molecular engineering of the cathode and separator in Li-S batteries.
Lin also won an Oral Presentation Award for her symposium presentation ‘Stable Artificial Solid Electrolyte Interfaces for Lithium Batteries’.
MRS Graduate Student Awards are intended to honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction. MRS seeks to recognize students of exceptional ability who show promise for significant future achievement in materials research.
