5 ChemE undergrads honored at the 400 Club breakfast
The athletes on Cornell's varsity athletic teams are often some of the busiest students on campus. Considering the time commitment required to compete among the nation's elite, on top of the rigorous academic schedule faced by all of Cornell's students, it's particularly impressive to see many of these student-athletes not only competing at a high level, but also performing exceptionally well in the classroom.
In spring 1997, the Department of Athletics and Physical Education began a program to recognize the best and brightest among the student-athletes, honoring those who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the previous semester with a special breakfast. An average of 50 student-athletes each semester joining the 400 Club
5 ChemE undergrads were honored at the 400 Club breakfast on Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Three seniors recognized are Michael Alexander (wrestling), Tom Evangelista (light weight crew), and Leah Ferrara (track and cross country). Leah is also a 4 time recipient of this honor.
Zac Cesaro (swimming) and junior, Ian McQueary (lightweight rowing) complete the list of honorees.
