Chemical Engineering students and alumni were recognized for their achievements in the co-op program at the 2011 fall reception.
Charles "Max" Krakauer ('12) earned the distinction of Cornell Engineering Co-op Student of the Year based on his demonstrated initiative, creativity, innovation, leadership, and professionalism. Max was nominated by his supervisor, Eddie Zhmayev (ChE PhD '09), at Corning, incorporated. Alexander Lee ('12) was also awarded "Distinguished Honor" for his co-op internship at Johnson & Johnson.
Alumnus Brock Tuczynski ('02) of Kraft Foods was chosen posthumously as co-op supervisor of the year for his excellence in leadership, mentorship, support, communication and feedback, and professionalism and ethics. Brock was nominated by his co-op intern, Alexandra Bishop ('12).
