CBE Grad, Josh Lequieu wins best poster at the 3rd International Conference and receives $500 prize
Joshua Lequieu, graduate of CBE and MIB student in the Varner lab, won best poster at the 3rd International Conference on Biomolecular Engineering (ICBE). Sponsored by the AIChE and the Society of Biological Engineering (SBE).
ICBE is a single-track Gordon style meeting that brings together researchers using quantitative approaches to study biology at the molecular level. These approaches are contributing to the development of analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that are directly relevant to the environment and public health. ICBE had four excellent keynote speakers including a Nobel Laureate and luminaries such as Francis Arnold (Caltech) and Dr. Lee Hood (Institute of Systems Biology).
Josh received a $500 prize for his poster entitled "A Model of Insulin-Mediated Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Identified Distinct Functional Submodules Highlighting the Role of IRS1 and mTORC1." More information about ICBE can be found at:
