Associate Professor Abraham D. Stroock has won a Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award for 2009. Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars are chosen as those who exemplify leadership in research and education with "compelling evidence of the advance of important knowledge in the chemical sciences and dedication and contributions to education in the chemical sciences, particularly with respect to undergraduates." Prof. Stroock's leadership in redesigning ChE 3240 and co-teaching ChE 7130 and the strength of the student evaluations of his teaching were important in this regard.
