Abe Stroock has been promoted to Associate Professor with indefinite tenure, effective November 1, 2008. Abe's work in microfluidics, in advancing our understanding of vascular systems, in soft systems, even in creating artificial trees, as come to be renowned for its scholarship and creativity. In teaching, Abe has left an indelible mark on the teaching of "Heat and Mass transfer" and in redesigning and teaching graduate kinetics and diffusion. For his teaching, Abe was awarded a College of Engineering Teaching prize in 2006.
