M.Eng.

Applications to the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) program are accepted on a rolling basis. However, please submit an application by November 15 for the spring session and June 30 for the fall session so that there is time to process the paperwork and issue any visa documents, if necessary.

MS/PhD

Admission to the MS and PhD programs is based on a candidate's promise of scientific achievement, evaluated in terms of academic performance, personal motivation, and a demonstration of professional commitment. Applicants are strongly encouraged to take the Graduate Record Exam general aptitude test in October. All credentials should be submitted as early as possible. If received prior to January 15th, applicants will be considered for fellowships offered by the Graduate School. These fellowships are awarded for the first year of study and include full tuition and nine-month stipend. The School will accept applications after January 15th, but these applicants will only be considered for department-based aid, teaching assistantships, research assistantships, and departmental fellowships.

Students whose native language is not English are required to take the GRE aptitude tests. In addition, international applicants must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and achieve a score higher than 600. International candidates who have studied for at least two years at a university in an English-speaking country or who have received their undergraduate degree from such a university need not take the TOEFL.
