Peter Harriott Master of Engineering Fellowships in the area of sustainable energy systems and environmental protection New partial tuition fellowships are now available for Master of Engineering students entering in the Fall semester who are interested in focusing their studies in the areas of sustainable energy systems and environmental protection. These Fellowships are named in honor of Emeritus Professor Peter Harriott (Cornell class of 49, named the Fred H. Rhodes Professor of Chemical Engineering in 1975). Harriott is an author of the globally recognized text book Unit Operations of Chemical Engineering" by McCabe, Smith and Harriott, and the author of seminal texts on process control and chemical reactor design. He designed a ground-breaking course in air pollution and remains an active participation with Ithaca's local Waste Management Council. Pete Harriott is an avid outdoorsman and hiker. Students interested in applying for a Peter Harriott Sustainable Energy Systems M. Eng. Fellowship should indicate their interest in this research area in their statement of purpose and/or application form.
